The Sites
The massive complex of Ancient City holds several important structures. Most famous among these is Khao Pra Viharn, a small scale reproduction of a temple atop a hill on Cambodian border.Another prominent structure is reconstructed throne hall from Ayutthaya. It was destroyed 200 years ago when Ayutthaya was attacked by the Burmese. Several examples of conventional Thai houses also sit in the complex. A wooden temple brought from northern Thailand is a nice example of Thai architecture.
