Ban
Non Wat has been drawing the attention of people in general, and
archaeologists in particular, all over the world. The reason is the
excavation of artefacts which are as old as the bronze age and the neolithic
age. The artefacts prove that the ancient Thais had trade links with the

The Site
Excavations at this site have brought to light early bronze age and late neolithic burials. The village is thought to be home of humans continuously for at least 4000 years. Number of artefacts, especially grave related objects have been found here. The rice fields which ring the site are considered to be irrigated thousands of years ago. The artefacts also testify to their makers' links with the Khmer culture and southern China.
Air, train and bus services are available for Nakhon Ratchasima from Bangkok daily. After coming to provincial capital, one can take another bus to reach the site or hire a car for the purpose.
