Bang Sai Crafts Center can be segregated in several sections, which are as follows:
The Museum Shop
Housed in a modern version of a conventional Thai style pavilion, the Museum Shop is the best place to start the tour of the center. Separate galleries are provided for ceramics, painting, sculpture and other art objects.
Visitors can watch exquisite handicrafts manufactured by common Thais like weaving basketry, fern vien basketry, hand-woven silk and cotton, silk dyeing, hand-modeled dolls, artificial flowers, wood-carving etc.
The Center has several workshops where the farmers from rural areas are provided training in folk arts and crafts. Tourists can amble through the workshops, located in central part, and watch the impressive products, which have taken shape thanks to the expertise of their makers. They have been able to produce the articles of such standards only after intensive training and hard work.
The Arts and Crafts Village
It is a group of wooden houses, which incorporate various styles of Thai architecture. The houses display the products on region their architectural style is based on. Folk shows and plays are also demonstrated in the village.
How To Reach
